Vision and aims of Urban Outreach
Urban Outreach is a Christian Charity providing an holistic, person-centred approach to support some of the most disadvantaged, vulnerable and complex adults and young people in Bolton. Established in 1990 our Vision is to be the most dependable and inspirational provider of support and care in the town. Our reach is unrivalled, our ‘whole–needs’ approach distinctive and depth of local knowledge unmatched. Urban Outreach is an innovative charity which is well respected locally. We find solutions to difficult and intractable social problems. Today we deliver a range of commissioned and grant funded work across four principal work streams.
Offender RehabilitationOARS (Offender Accommodation Rehabilitation Support) works to resettle short-term male offenders on leaving prison. Eve’s Space provides intensive support to female offenders to prevent reoffending and encourage sustainable lifestyles. ReachOut offers practical and emotional support to women involved in street sex work in Bolton and helps women exit prostitution
Health and HomelessnessStreet Life accommodates and supports homeless people who are difficult to re-house and we are working to support individuals with complex lifestyles to reduce frequent attendances at A&E
Children and FamiliesRUNA (Remember U r Not Alone) works with children who have gone missing from home, helping them understand the dangers of running away and addressing the issues that caused that running. Family First (Troubled Families) supports families and children experiencing multiple issues and exclusion.
